This is the tournaments page. Use it to remember when tournaments are, and to register for them. This page is only for tournaments within the club itself, not those against other schools.
All tournaments will have official FIDE chess rules. The tournament results and pairings will be on challonge.com. The URL for each tournament will be provided. Each will be in this format: challonge.com/Mackenzie(Tournament Code Here).
Keep in mind that if you often do not show up when your are supposed to, you may be banned from participating in tournaments for a while. However, if you contact us before games start. and you have a good reason for not attending, you will be excused.

This will be an opening tournament at the beginning of school year 2012-2013. It will most likely be in Room 101. Anyone can join, and everyone is encouraged to do so, regardless of chess level. It will be a Swiss style tournament with the usual Swiss rules, although it may change later. The specific date is not set at this time, but it will be longer than one day as there will be several rounds, and it will be in the first one or two months of the school year. If you miss one game, you can play at another date, but try to be there unless you have no choice. Prizes may be decided upon later.
